{"id":70,"date":"2024-07-21T09:52:35","date_gmt":"2024-07-21T09:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.jennyhope.co.uk\/?page_id=70"},"modified":"2025-07-24T17:53:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T17:53:22","slug":"collaborations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jennyhope.co.uk\/?page_id=70","title":{"rendered":"Collaborations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Hidden<\/em> was a colaborative project coordinated by artist Susan Birth in conjunction with the Worcestershire Literary Festival.  Ten poets write poems on the theme of Hidden, these poems inspired new artwork by local artists.  Both the poems and artwork were displayed at Worcester City Museum and Art Gallery in June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jenny&#8217;s poem, the Occultist, was written as part of this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Language of Porcelain and Food was a project run by the Museum of Royal Worcester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In 2023, the Museum was awarded an Arts Council National Lottery Project grant to \u2018unlock\u2019 our collections through stories of food and drink. In partnership with Dr Neil Buttery (an award-winning food historian, author, podcaster, and chef), we have created a new Georgian dining table and dessert course cabinet to illuminate the interesting (and often surprising) ways in which Worcester ceramics were used in 18th-century dining experiences. These displays have helped bring our collection to life, offering insight into how food has been prepared, shared, and enjoyed over time<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As part of this project, our collaboration with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/litfestworcs.org\/\">Worcestershire LitFest<\/a>&nbsp;poets, titled \u2018The Language of Porcelain and Food\u2019, has allowed local writers to take inspiration from these new food history displays. Their poems showcase creative local talent and offer new literary perspectives on our varied collection.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jenny&#8217;s poem <em>The Ice Cream Diaries<\/em> was written as part of this project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*************************************************************************************************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jenny voiced Sally in <em>Nemesis<\/em> from Dave Wyatt&#8217;s Tales from Elsewhere Crescent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Episode 9: NEMESIS\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p8f7De5Rx_U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Summer 2012&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the Worcestershire Poetry Stanza were involved in a project to write poems inspired by the National Trust property, Hanbury Hall, Nr. Droitwich, Worcestershire.&nbsp; My poem,&nbsp;<em>A room of their own<\/em>, was inspired by the Ladies\u2019 Blue Sitting Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autumn 2011 \u2013 Spring 2012&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Illustrator Cheryl Howard used a selection of poems from my collection Petrolhead, as an inspiration to create six stunning prints as her exhibition piece for the University of Worcester\u2019s Illustration Students\u2019 Personal Statement Exhibition.&nbsp; The first meeting between Cheryl and myself was in Autumn 2011, with the final pieces exhibited in Spring 2012.&nbsp; The poems from&nbsp;<em>Petrolhead<\/em>which inspired Cheryl\u2019s work are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">High Tea<br>I watch my Mother climbing up walls<br>A Walk through the Forest<br>Red Coat<br>Beef<br>Strange Bedfellows<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition runs from 3<sup class=\"\">rd<\/sup>&nbsp;\u2013 7<sup class=\"\">th<\/sup>&nbsp;May.&nbsp; Venue: Cathedral Plaza Worcester.
